BUDGETING FOR DIVORCE

Divorce means increased expenses as one household splits into two. Spend time devising a budget and a financial plan whilst the divorce is taking place and post-divorce, as you and your spouse will be living in separate homes from one another, and you will both be required to meet the maintenance needs of the children. Remember also that in the divorce process you both will be paying the fees for your respective attorneys too. Try and curtail protracted litigation as this will impact detrimentally on your assets that you will get out of the divorce.
